
Steven Rivera
Steven Rivera serves as President for the Treasure Coast Market for Truist Financial Corporation. He oversees the commercial banking division in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River Counties and is also responsible for the banks overall commitment to serve these markets.
With more than 20 years of banking experience, he previously served as SVP, Commercial Banker for Palm Beach County. Steven is passionate about giving back to his community. His current board service includes the Healthy Start Coalition of St. Lucie County, The Community Foundation of Martin St Lucie and has previously served on the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce and The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County; he is also co-chair of the Men’s Giving Club (MGC), a collective giving organization under The Community Foundation.
Steven has been a proud St. Lucie resident for over 25 years, and he, his wife and two children enjoy being part of our growing community.

David Wilbur
David Willbur, CPCU has been an insurance agent in the Treasure Coast area for more than 30 years using his educational and life experiences to assist persons and businesses with insurance and risk management solutions. A guiding principle throughout his career has been servant leadership, both at work and in the community. After service in the U.S. Army, David earned his undergraduate degree at Florida Atlantic University. His education continued with an MBA in insurance from Georgia State University. He was awarded the national designation of Charged Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) shortly after completing his MBA.
David returned to the family business serving as President of David G Willbur Insurance Agency, Inc. from 1976 – 2003. He later served as President of Harbor Insurance Agency Inc. (2005-2011) and is currently President and Managing Member of Florida Smart Insurance LLC (2012 – present). Community leadership and service includes past Treasurer of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce and recipient of the Chamber’s Business of the Year Professional Services award in 2015. Past roles include Treasurer of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Commodore of the Pelican Yacht Club, President of the Humane Society of St. Lucie County, President of the St. Lucie County Independent Agents, Inc, President of Mustard Seed Ministries, Inc. and board member of both the Gulf Stream Council, Boy Scouts of America and Heathcote Botanical Gardens, Inc.
Currently, David serves as President of Longwood Homeowners Association, Treasurer of Mustard Seed Ministries, and Vice President Healthy Start Coalition of St. Lucie County. David is the proud father of two children: one a lawyer in Orlando, and the other a marketing executive in Virginia.

Karen Spera
Karen Spera obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Nazareth College, Rochester, NY for Speech Language Pathology and Education K-12. Within her 35+ years of service in the state of Florida she serviced children for 21 years in the St Lucie County School District, continues to service children ages 0-5 as a FL state Medicaid provider, worked for 35+ years as a provider in skilled nursing facilities, and provides services privately to both adults and children. She and her husband have resided in Port St. Lucie since 1991 where they have worked and raised their 3 children and who have all returned after to college to live, work in St Lucie County. They are proud grandparents to 4 boys. Being active in our community has always been important. She and her husband have been directly and indirectly part of giving back and supporting numerous organizations by volunteering and attending fundraising events. Upon retirement from her full-time position in the schools in 2023 she set out to become more involved in community efforts. She is a new board member with the Healthy Start Coalition, a member of IRSC’s Promise Program Leadership Board, and a committee member with SLCFD Christmas 4 Kids. Bridging her professional knowledge and experience as a Speech Language Pathologist with helping people succeed continues to be her passion.

Lisette Maldonado-Alonge
Lissette Maldonado is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology. For the past 24 years, she has served the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office as a Victim Advocate, providing resources and services to crime victims with compassion, dedication, and professionalism.
An active community leader, Lissette has been involved in numerous coalitions and committees, including the 19th Judicial Circuit Victims’ Rights Coalition, St. Lucie County’s Law Enforcement Committee, and the 19th Circuit Human Trafficking Coalition. Her career reflects an unwavering commitment to empowering survivors, raising awareness, and building collaborative networks to support victims throughout the criminal justice process.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Lissette works closely with the Hispanic community, bridging cultural and language gaps to ensure equitable access to victim services. Her deep roots in St. Lucie County—where she has lived since the early 1990s has fueled her passion for serving and strengthening her community.
Healthy Start Mission
The Healthy Start Coalition mission is to educate, promote positive birth outcomes, and protect the health and well-being of all mothers and children in St. Lucie County.
Healthy Start Goals
The goals of Healthy Start are to improve pregnancy outcomes, reduce infant mortality rates, and to promote healthy growth and development in all children up to age three in St. Lucie County.
